Kampot Province (May 12, 2026): The project orientation for “Promoting Gender Justice through Learning, Skill Sharing, and Practice” continued its outreach with youth groups and community facilitators in Kampot Province. After gaining an understanding of the project's benefits and the importance of youth clubs, participants held an election for a new youth club leader and members. As a result, Ms. Uy Minea was elected as the leader to head the youth club within the community.
Ms. Uy Minea shared her thoughts: “As I am newly elected, I hope to gain knowledge in leadership and gender mainstreaming, and to raise awareness about past violence. I intend to share this knowledge with other youth for the benefit of my community.”
It should be noted that this project is currently being implemented in four communities/provinces—Kep, Kampot, Battambang, and Oddar Meanchey—with the support of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Cambodia.
